Development residencies for visual artists.
Standpoint Futures residencies will be run in partnership and hosted with Chisenhale Studios in 2017 due to development work taking place in Coronet Street.
The deadline for applications is midnight on Tuesday 6 September. Interviews for shortlisted artists will take place on Tuesday 4 October at Chisenhale Studios.
We will be selecting three artists: two from England, one from Wales. One residency is designated for an 'early career' artist.
Application fee £16 - this helps cover the costs of our selection process.
We are pleased to announce our partners and selectors for the 2017 programme are:
Alfredo Cramerotti, Director MOSTYN, Llandudno
Ben Borthwick, Director Plymouth Arts Centre
Kwong Lee, Director Castlefield Gallery, Manchester
Andrea Davidson, Arts Manager Chisenhale Studios
Fiona MacDonald, Director Standpoint Futures, will chair the selection panel.
Standpoint Futures visual art development residencies are for emerging/mid career artists, based outside Greater London. They are designed to be flexible and responsive to the project, needs and desired outcomes of individual participants. The residency's chief aims are to provide high quality, individualised opportunities to develop the artist's practice and career, and to integrate London and the regional UK art world to promote access and the exchange of ideas.
