Education
Standpoint Education
Standpoint is committed to the promotion of the arts and crafts, for the individual, communal and public benefit.
We understand that art and education are inextricably linked and are committed to providing high quality, flexible educational programmes to meet the demands of a culturally diverse community.

Studio Education
The artists at Standpoint Studios have demonstrated a long-term commitment to the local community and have been successfully running educational projects for more than ten years.
We work with a wide range of professional artists who are able to deliver
art workshops in painting, ceramics, letterpress, print, etching, photography,
collage, textiles, sculpture and book art.
Gallery Education
All exhibitions are run in collaboration with exhibiting artists, and this includes participation in our education programme. Aimed at local schools, further education institutions, and the general public, the programme is designed to promote debate on relevant issues and to introduce the work through talks, lectures and study groups.
There is also a strong committmet to the provision of a Professional Practice Programme and participation in the Trident Work Experience programme.
| Community Art Studio The community art studio provides a safe environment for the delivery and enjoyment of art education workshops. It is an integral part of Standpoint Studios and benefits from the professionalism and experience of the artists working here. It can be used by all members of the local community, including people from schools and colleges, youth clubs, special needs and community groups, and the general public. For further details regarding the education programme, registering as an artist educator for participation in future activities, the hiring of the community art studio and any other information, please contact Mia Taylor.

A selection of works made by young people in workshops are shown in an exhibition in the Gallery at the end of each year. The exhibition is titled “We Made This”, and provides a unique opportunity for young people to see their works displayed in a professional context.
