For the 2007 Shoreditch Festival Standpoint Gallery will be transformed into a world inspired by Roald Dahl’s book The Twits. Exhibition open 12 – 6pm
This is an interactive exhibition open to the public, featuring collaborative works by artists and local young people. Come along and see the gallery transform day by day and watch it grow into a unique shared event. Art activities start 2 – 5pm
There will be free afternoon art activities during the exhibition for anyone aged 6 – 16. Join drop-in art sessions, work with professional artists and make your own artwork. All works will be added to the continually evolving exhibition ‘The Twits in Shoreditch’. Artists will lead a different activity every day, including storytelling, painting, sculpture and printmaking. Workshop sessions are open from 2 pm until 5 pm and take place in the gallery, parents are welcome to participate. To ensure a place please book in advance or arrive early on the day. Exhibition party Thursday 16th August from 4 – 7pm
You are invited to the grand exhibition opening party to see the fantastic creations on show and join us for Wormy Spaghetti, Bird Pie and other Twit refreshments, everyone welcome!
